He is District Executive for the Ojibway District which includes Saginaw County and part of Tuscola County, acting as a resource and liason between the national Boy Scout organization and all of the Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, and venturing crews. Dan is responsible for recruiting new youth and adult leaders, as well as for raising funds. He belongs to the Bridge Center for Racial Harmony and the Carrollton/Zilwaukee Eagles Club, while playing darts with the Saginaw Valley Dart Association and pool in the Mid-Michigan TAP league. He is also currently an ambassador for the Great Lakes Bay Hispanic Leadership Institute. Dan and his family live in Saginaw. He and wife, Fenis, have been married eight years and have two children: Sergio (17) attends Heritage High School and Toni (12) attends White Pine Middle School. Kris Worley was sponsored by John Harken and has the vocational classification of Landscape Architect. He is employed by Worley Landscaping LLC. Kris and his wife, Monica, live on Busch Road in Birch Run Township along with their three children, Nicholas, Celeste, and Justine. Welcome to Rotary, Dan and Kris! Sharon Edwards was inducted into the Frankenmuth Rotary Club at its meeting on April 22, 2010. She was sponsored by Jim Barger with the vocational classification of Postmistress. Sharon has been postmistress at the Frankenmuth post office for the last two years, where she manages 19 union employees. She has 25 years of seniority with the postal service and her previous position was in Saginaw, where she managed about half (69) of the employees. She was chairman of the Saginaw County employees’ annual meeting that took place at the Harvey Kern Pavilion. She attended high school with our Rotarian Imelda Leix and is looking forward to getting back into some of the mischief-making they practiced at the time. Sharon is single, after a divorce six years ago. She has two children, Kayla who is a paralegal with the Shiners and Cook law firm in Saginaw, and Keith, who is in his second year at Ferris State, majoring in Business Administration. Sharon lives in Saginaw, as does her mother. The Frankenmuth Rotary Club has a long history of postal employees as members, and we welcome Sharon to the group! |
